“Not all storms come to disrupt your life - some come to clear your path.”
Rebecca graduated with a First Class law degree from the University of Liverpool in 2018; she is currently undertaking the Legal Practice Course on a part-time basis, due to finish in Summer 2021.
Rebecca has worked in family law for more than two years and says: "I absolutely love it because of how dynamic and ever-changing it can be; no two days are ever the same." In her previous paralegal role, she provided advice and representation to clients on a variety of matters including divorce and finance, private children matters, pre-proceedings/care matters and domestic violence. She now supports our Divorce and Finance and Legal Aid teams and their clients with an assured confidence and fantastic organisational skills.
She recently assisted on a 7-day final hearing on a large Local Authority Care matter which had been ongoing for over a year, providing assistance to counsel and the Cafcass Guardian. She also previously assisted in representing a parent on another high-profile case that was heard in the High Court last year.
Rebecca also says: "I love helping people and working in family law I feel like I’m truly making a difference to other people’s lives during some of their darkest and most emotional times, offering reassurance and helping to bring about a good outcome for them."
Outside of work she enjoys spending time relaxing with a good book or watching a Netflix series, going for walks (always weather dependent!) and occasionally running.
