Kay has more than eight years’ experience in dealing with Family Law cases, predominately representing local authorities in care proceedings.
Her legal career began when working part-time at a local law firm when studying Law. After leaving college, Kay joined Stephensons Solicitors in the family department as an admin assistant where she quickly progressed to paralegal, fee earner and then became an Executive. In addition to her role at McAlister Family Law, she is currently studying for her CILEX qualification.
Kay manages a case load of public law matters, dealing with cases on behalf of local authorities (both pre-proceedings and care proceedings) and on behalf of parents.
She also has extensive experience in all aspects family law work, including contact disputes and child arrangement orders, discharge of care proceedings, adoption, special guardianship orders and private family work including divorce, related children matters and protection from domestic violence.
