"No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else."
She is starting her LPC, on a part-time basis in September 2020, at the University of Law in Manchester, alongside her current role.
When at University, she volunteered as a student legal advisor at the Legal Advice Centre in Manchester; she had meetings with clients, researched the relevant law and provided a free letter of advice to the client. She also volunteered at Manchester Free Legal Help at the Civil Justice Centre, volunteering in the family law clinics and working beside family lawyers to help provide support and advice on various areas of the law. She says: "This was when I saw, first-hand, those public child law issues that now make up the type of cases I work on at McAlister Family Law." Brogan always knew she wanted to work in family law, and her volunteering only made her even more passionate and determined to do so.
Brogan specializes in a broad range of areas, including Pre-Proceedings, Care proceedings, Placement Orders, Adoption and Special Guardianship Orders. She adds: "No two days are ever the same, I thoroughly enjoy working in the family law sector and I aspire to being fully qualified."
